It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. –anonymous
One day, behind hundreds of stopped cars trying to merge onto the 405 from the 10 fwy, I got an awesome treat. In my peripheral vision I saw this hawk flying awkwardly, swooping up and down. And then it was flying right towards my car. As it got closer and closer, I understood why it was flying all over the place, it had a huge rodent in it’s talons! It dipped down next me so close I thought it was going to land on my hood! Of course, it didn’t but rather lopsidedly made a rough landing on the side of the mountain–I couldn’t believe my eyes! Some may find this gross but I thought it was super cool. AH, a moment of peace, it can be found any time, anywhere, even when stuck on the 405. I can hear some of you now “not to peaceful for the rodent”…true enough.
